Comprehensive Athletic Program Evaluation
(seminar/Consulting)

Overview:

This seminar is of value to any level athletic organization wishing to comprehensively evaluate their athletic programming and desires a template to guide budget decisions including, but not limited to adding or eliminating programs or modifying and justifying annual budget allocations and methodology. This is tailored to a particular organization or institutional mission and philosophy.

Basic Seminar Structure:

Time involved is described below. The client can choose if they want part one, part one and two or all three parts as part of the seminar and consulting services provided by RMACS. Each progressive step will require more time and communication between the client and RMAC prior to the seminar and subsequent to the seminar.

Day One:

Part One:

9:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon

  • Evaluation, Measurement and Assessment
  • Overview of development of an athletic program evaluation tool
  • Uses of the tool
  • “Players” involved in the process and their roles
  • Time-line

Part Two:

1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.

  • Tie-in to the strategic plan
  • Identification of philosophy and mission statement
  • Identification of value criteria
  • Development of the process, including identification of the “players” involved
  • Development of the customized tool

Day two (or more):

Part Three:

This step is open ended depending on the desires and needs of the client.

  • Implementation of the evaluation tool and conduction of a comprehensive athletic program evaluation
    • Information gathering central office
    • Information gathering sport specific including on-sight visits and interviews. Portfolio construction begins
    • Follow-up conclusions and recommendations
